In Sabetha, KS, the Sabetha High School USD 113 was looking to expand and update their facilities. This project added approximately 39,000 square foot to the existing high school building.
Additions included a new gymnasium, locker rooms, a wrestling room, concessions, classrooms, restrooms, & commons areas. Components involved site work and grading, concrete foundations, slab on grade floor, CMU walls, structural steel & steel joist structure, and metal & membrane roof systems. Interior finishes included the athletic wood floor, epoxy resin floors, VCT, ceramic tile, ACT ceilings, and painted CMU. Exterior finishes include aluminum windows and entrances, metal wall panels, translucent wall panels, unit masonry, concrete sidewalks and asphalt parking lot.
Meanwhile, another school in the USD 113 district – Wetmore Attendance Center, located in Wetmore, KS- was also in need of expansion. Two additions totaling approximately 14,000 square feet, were added to the existing Wetmore School. These buildings included classrooms, a science room, a media center, administration offices, a music room, and new restrooms within the existing building. Components of this job included site work and grading, concrete foundations with slab on grade, CMU walls, structural steel and steel joint structure, and a membrane roof system. Interior finishes include painted CMU & GDW walls, ACT ceilings, carpet, VCT, sheet vinyl, & epoxy resin floors. Exterior finishes include aluminum windows and entrances, brick veneer, concrete sidewalks, and steps.
