ABOUT THIS PROJECT

Riley County Public Works was in need of an updated public works office.  Located in Manhattan, KS, this appealing building was the end result.

The office building construction included exposed architectural concrete walls, precast concrete floor system, a combination of exposed structural steel and wood trusses, structural insulated roof panels, and stained concrete floors to create an aesthetically pleasing, durable, yet comfortable work environment.

The mechanical systems include state of the art Geo-thermal ground source heat pump systems, which create an efficient HVAC system for the owner. The owner is extremely proud of this facility. The vehicle maintenance building included such work as concrete foundations, exposed architectural concrete walls, precast concrete floor system, pre-engineered metal building with an abundance of sidewall glass and skylights, top running bridge cranes, and an automatic truck wash. This building includes numerous special systems to make it an extremely efficient maintenance facility.
