The Nemaha County Law Enforcement Center was looking to expand the current facility to accomodate growing needs. AHRS, along with Prochaska & Associates were chosen for this project. A 2-story, basement and ground level 4,400 SF addition, along with renovations to the existing facility is the resolution to their needs.
The addition consists of new offices, library, restrooms, kitchen, conference room, and high security storage. The building is constructed from structural steel framing CMU block, brick veneer/metal siding exterior, cast in place concrete basement and 1st floor deck, membrane roof over steel bar joist and metal decking. The basement also serves as a storm shelter. The renovation area creates a new dispatch room, offices and detention rooms. A new generator provides a secondary electrical source for the facility.
