HTRS Schools needed an addition to their facilities in Humboldt, NE. This project included a 3-story addition to the north side of the existing school, and a 1-story addition to the west.
The north addition included a 2,300 square foot fitness room and a music room on the 1st level. Six classrooms were added on the 2nd level. A classroom, an art room, and a wrestling room were built on the 3rd level.
The west addition established a secure entrance to the facility and included a concession stand, gym lobby, and corridor around the existing gymnasium to the new classrooms.
The exterior building walls are precast concrete with brick veneer. The roof is EPDM at the north addition, and standing seam metal at the west addition. Flooring included polished concrete, carpet tile, rubber flooring, and ceramic tile. Ceilings were acoustical or open to structure. Site work included relocation of utilities, sidewalks around the building perimeter, steps at entries, and paving.
