Located in Falls City, NE, F & M Bank was looking to update their building. This project was a complete renovation of the interior of the existing bank facility.
The banking operations were located in a century-old building that was originally two separate buildings divided by a masonry wall. The bank had been remodeled in the early 1970’s, and during that process, several small openings were cut between the two buildings. The owner wished to create a more open lobby and expose the large circle top windows, which were covered in an earlier remodel.
AHRS Construction joined forces with Larry Chilese Architects to undertake this project. Now there is a large, open lobby with plenty of natural light from the big windows. There is a large reception desk, new teller line casework, a courtesy bar, and a comfortable waiting area for customers. The balance of the building was also renovated with all new offices, bookkeeping, a conference room, a break room, restrooms, and finished storage areas in the basement.
