CJ Foods, located in Bern, KS is a dog food processing plant. This project was to provide needed space for expansion. The project consisted of 2 new buildings being added to the existing facility, as well as renovation work to the existing building.
The 1st building is 8,370 square foot that consists of a loading dock area, an 1,800 square foot freezer, and a meat processing facility. It is a pre-engineered metal building that connects to the south side of the existing facility.
The 2nd building is a 1,898 square foot pre-engineered metal building storage facility that connects on the east side of the existing facility. Both have concrete foundations and slab on grade with tin walls and roof. There were also 3 new dock locations with levelers.
