ABOUT THIS PROJECT

The City of Pawnee City and the Pawnee City Fire Department took on consideration of building a new Fire Station. After several months of acquiring funding and developing a design, AHRS Construction was approached for some budget pricing. Following numerous pricing changes and design changes, a final bid was accepted from AHRS Construction. The new fire station is an 80′ X 100′ pre-engineered metal building with a concrete floor containing two trench drain locations, seven overhead doors, four walk-thru doors, and five windows. The exterior wall panels included contrasting wainscot panels. The building will be heated by four infrared heaters. Concrete paving will allow access to the six front overhead doors. Parking with a HDCP stall, will be located on the north side of the building, as well as sidewalks for building access. The building was designed to allow for future addition of an office, restrooms, a kitchen, a large meeting room, and a storage mezzanine.
