This project consists of the construction of a new 0.248 MGD (Million Gallons per Day flow) activated sludge mechanical wastewater treatment plant for the City of Horton, KS. Included is a new influent pump station, headworks building, AeroMod structure, reed drying beds and administration building.
The existing plant that was constructed in 1956, with several improvements and additions made over the years, will be replaced entirely as part of the project.
Funding for the project was through the USDA’s Water and Waste Disposal Loan and Grant program.
