F & M Bank - Renovation

Falls City, Nebraska

F & M Bank

Description
Complete renovation of the interior of the existing bank facility. Existing banking operations were located in a century old building that was originally two separate buildings separated by a masonry wall. The bank had been remodeled in the early 1970's and during that process, several small openings were cut between the two buildings. The owner wished to create a more open lobby and also expose the large circle top windows that were covered during the previous remodel. AHRS Construction joined forces with Larry Chilese Architects to undertake this project. The end result is a large open lobby with plenty of natural light from the large windows that included new teller line casework, large reception desk, courtesy bar and a comfortable waiting area for customers. The balance of the building was also renovated with all new offices, bookkeeping, conference room, break room, restrooms and finished storage areas in the basement.

The media room offers the residents a movie theater like setting because of the state of the art sound system and 82" flat screen television. The interior renovation included an entirely new kitchen, food pantry, mechanical room, and dishwashing area. The dining rooms and sun room received a new vinyl planking flooring system with an upgraded coffee bar for the early risers.
